Jass music for everybody

Jazz music is indeed a music for everybody, just if we think about the fact that is was formed by a mixture from African and European music, formed in the teritories of South America. It is believed that Jazz music was formed in the begining of the 20th century. But it suffered many transformations during the last century, creating new sub genres, and some of them are : Afro-Cuban and Brazilian jazz, acid jazz (in the 1980s), and later Nujazz was formed.

Because jazz was formed in the American land, in 1987 it was decided to recognize that jazz music, or “jass” music is in fact a part of the American culture, and it should be respected and also promulgated. This happened because in those years not so many people wre listening any more to jazz music, and jazz artists didn’t have so much succes any more. So a more commercial form was created, called “smooth jazz”, and so the jazz songs were once again listened at tha radio. People loved the smooth jazz because very talented artists like the saxophonists Grover Washington, Kirk Whalum and David Sanborn were playing it, but the vocalists like Al Jarreau and Chaka Khan had also many fans. This was when Chaka khan released his album “Echoes of an Era”, an album that had much suces, part of he suces was due the single “And the Melody Still Lingers On (Night in Tunisia)”.

Louis Daniel Armstrong is the most famous jazz artist, and jazz lovers still play his songs. He has a great voce that can be recognizes everywhere you go. He was a trumpeter and also a singer. He was the one that changed th way the jazz music was seen by then, transform it from the colelctive attention to all atention to the solo artist. He was an great improviser, he liked to play ith the lyrics and also with the music (because he was also a trumpeter). But his fans loved him the most because of his talent at scat singing. Sometimes he didn’t sing any lyrics, he was just singing syllables. Due to his presence of the stage, I think the jazz music was so loved, and other artist had a lot to learn from him. He knew to be bot charismatic but also serious when he performed his deep songs. For all of this, he is considered the greatest oice of jazz music.
